This Privacy Policy explains what information WebSharke (“we,” “us,” operated by Wyatt Eldridge d/b/a WebSharke) collects through websharke.com and its client dashboard, how it’s used, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you sign up, submit a project inquiry, or use the client dashboard, we may collect:

• Account information: email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text)
• Business intake information: business name, business description, products/services, website goals, visitor actions, websites you like, preferred styles, color preferences, design notes, and any additional information you submit
• Contact information: name, phone number, business address (where applicable)
• Payment-related information: billing name and email (full card numbers are handled by Stripe directly — see Section 3)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

We may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, and general usage data to operate and secure the site. WebSharke does not currently use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your account and client dashboard
• Design, build, and host your website
• Process payments and manage billing and subscriptions
• Communicate with you about your project, invoices, or account
• Maintain security and prevent fraud
• Improve WebSharke’s services

3. Third Parties We Share Data With

WebSharke does not sell your personal information. We share information with the following service providers, only as needed to operate our services:

• Stripe — processes payments and stores payment card data. WebSharke does not store full card numbers. See Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Supabase — hosts our database (account data, business intake data, subscription records) and provides authentication.
• Vercel — hosts the website and serverless backend functions that power the dashboard and checkout process.

These providers process data on WebSharke’s behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including database access controls (Row-Level Security) that restrict users to viewing only their own data, and secure processing of payments through Stripe rather than storing card data ourselves. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and WebSharke cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and business intake data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel services or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records (e.g., payment records) for legal or tax purposes.

6. Your Rights

You may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements

WebSharke may use essential cookies necessary for login sessions and site functionality.
